Playing Teen Patti in Tournaments: Adjusting to Rising Blinds

Tournament Teen Patti is very different from casual play because blinds increase on a set timer. Understanding how to adjust to rising blinds is essential for lasting deep into a tournament.

Early in the tournament, blinds are small relative to starting stacks. You can play cautiously, wait for premium hands and observe opponents. The low blinds let you fold hands without paying much. Do not take unnecessary risks early when you can survive many rounds.

As blinds increase, your stack-to-blind ratio shrinks. You can no longer afford to wait forever for perfect hands. Blind payments will slowly eat your stack. You must expand your playable hand range and look for opportunities to accumulate chips. Start stealing blinds from late position and playing a wider variety of hands.

In the middle stages, position becomes critical. Use late position to steal blinds when players fold. Avoid fighting multi-way pots, as they carry high elimination risk. Favor heads-up battles where your winning chances are easier to estimate.

When blinds become very high relative to your stack, you are short stacked. Your options narrow to all-in or fold. Look for decent hands and good spots to push all-in. Waiting too long will see your stack disappear to blinds. Do not fold your way to elimination.

Monitor the boot levels throughout the tournament. Calculate how many rounds you can survive by folding. This number guides your aggression. Track opponents' stacks too. Players with tiny stacks will push all-in frequently; prepare to call with strong hands.

Rising blinds force action and test your adaptability. Players who adjust their strategy as blinds grow will last much deeper than those who use one fixed approach throughout the tournament.
